For a glimpse into one of Jarrett’s trips, check out the short video of last summer’s month-long program to Mexico. During this trip, co-led by KCAI ceramics faculty Casey Whittier, students took Spanish language classes and studied Mexican history and culture. In the studio, they learned natural wool dyeing and weaving, local ceramics processes and silversmithing. Through their engagements with the local community, they learned about regenerative agriculture, met contemporary artists, prepared meals with locals,and led art classes for rural youth.
